It’s 5 am…

So why am I still up? My daughter’s a night owl at 2 weeks old. She has no qualms sleeping until noon, but it’s hell to get her to want to sleep after midnight. So far, she’s asleep now, but the damage is done, I’m probably gonna need to grab coffee later. Fabulous.

So while she’s actually being quiet, I’m going to attempt to get some sleep and probably dream about motorcycle gps garmins or some obscure thing like that. Then be awoken of the lovely screams of a child in 2 hours. I love her, and thank goodness her dad’s here to back me up. But I really need to do something with her sleep schedule.

Cue contraction-induced rambling.

I’m sitting here with my baby girl still not making her way out of her very cramped shell. Good news is, I am having some contractions, so at least that’s a good thing. Right? Right?! It’s also 2am, an I have an appointment in the morning, which means I should go to bed. And I will get there eventually, but now I’m just looking up random stuff like composters and wedding cakes. Did you know that we both wanted to have a green and purple theme for our wedding? Let’s try making it not look a mess. Good luck to us.

So now that I’m at the final stretch of my pregnancy, we’re realizing that if we want to have any more children, we’re gonna have to get a bigger place. Hell, it’s quite cramped as it is. So we need to look into something that will allow our space, and Rydia her space when she gets older. I was looking up stuff online and I ran into condos for sale in Edmonton. Now Edmonton is a little far from where we are, but it led us to other places close by. When looking for our own place, we want to make sure that we can have a cat (or two) allowed, and that it’s big enough for if we expand our family a little too soon. Kinda like what happened here.

We’re hoping to find a new place by the end of the year, but it doesn’t hurt to start looking now.

One of my least favorite games when I was younger was musical chairs. I think my hand-eye (or in this case, butt-eye) coordination is just too off to play this game without my butt ending up on the floor or on someone else’s lap (which isn’t always a bad thing, but…MOVING ON!) . What would be epic though is to play musical chairs with the music being from a stell drum from drumsofsteel.com. Nothing like some tropical music to fall on my ass to. Lol.

I’m glad that phase is over.

During a super dark period of my life a few years ago, I thought that I’d be stuck in bipolar rehab treatment centers for the rest of my life. While my official diagnosis is an NOS mood disorder, I was treated as bipolar, albeit a mild case. A year later, sans mood stabilizers and far away from what was the cause¹, I haven’t had any relapses or even any sign of one.

Which leads me to believe that my move was all the treatment I needed. Glad that’s over with.
