So, you guys probably remember the WTF moment about this new weight loss drug (well at the time it was new) called alli. I can’t believe that it’s still around after all these years! I thought they’d gotten sued by now for pain and suffering and ruined laundry. So I saw this thing with alli reviews and the findings are even more interesting.

Alli does lower cholesterol and risk of type 2 diabetes with extended use. However, it does not really promote much weight loss. The average participant in studies used the prescription dose, not the Alli dose, and about 70% lost 5-10% of their body mass, not necessarily in fat over the space of a year, while the rest did not lose any weight at all. Those that did lose weight gained it back after they went off Orlistat. Unfortunately, you could lose more than 5 to 10% of your body weight with diet and exercise alone.

…No really? You can probably lose more body weight just by masturbation.

Remember the list of side effects that it comes with? You know, anal leakage, increased chance to shit your pants, the possibility of losing your social life? It’s there. Just imagine yourself taking this medication just so you can be .5% lighter. You’re at work…with light pants on. You start feeling something come out…

Oh yeah, goodbye those pair of pants. Goodbye social life too. You’ll be the one known in the office as the one who couldn’t control their bowels. People are cruel. And heaven forbid if you work in child care. Kids are crueler.

Here is one of the poor consumer reviews:

used this product for a week and for that week I felt crappy…..I guess I wanted so desperately to be thin..I did NOT consult doctor first..How many people do!!! Well on the seventh day I passed out twice..That was it….I would rather have my live than die trying to be thin!!!!!DO NOT USE THIS product ..It is NOT safe!!!!Even if many reviews say it is…It is not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well this person made a mistake and not consult a doctor before taking this drug. But she also makes a point there–how many people do when they start a new diet, especially ones including over-the-counter diet pills? And the scary part about this case is that she passed out–twice–while on this medication. She could have died the third time.

Why hasn’t this been pulled yet? What are these big hats doing up at the FDA?

This is supposed to be an acne treatment pill? (Didn’t know there was a such thing, but I digress)

All right, so I saw this thing about accutane side effects. Didn’t know what accutane was until recently, but I just read it. Apparently this thing has the world’s longest side effect list ever. This thing causes you to want to sleep, makes you be in a lot of pain, messes with your moods, may kill your unborn child…wtf? Really?!

At times I get a sudden acne breakout, but nothing too serious, and this isn’t supposed to be taken for mild breakouts. But who in their right mind would actually try this to get rid of their acne?

I was going to write a story about rubber stamps, but it flew out of my head. Oops.

But for real though, I was trying to log into WordPress, only to find out that I’d have to reinstall it. What the…?!

It turns out that everything was intact, but one of the tables crashed (didn’t know that it can do that!), hence the “install WordPress” thing. So I had to Google on how to repair it, and did just that. So everything is fine, except everything is loading a lot slower than I’d like to. But…everything’s fine otherwise.

I have a job interview tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes my way this time. I’m being driven up a wall not having any money.

Wow, I haven’t done one of these in a minute, so I’ll do one now, since it’s been over a week since I’ve blogged, and it’s still fresh in the mind.

Coming from a friend’s house today, there were two pitbulls loose on the block. Their master is trying to get them into a car so she can take them home. One looked at us, and it was adorable. My friend was like “hey, it’s not going to bother us”. And that one didn’t. There was the other one, much bigger than the other, and the moment it saw us, it just barked nonstop. The master is trying to get it to get away from us, and it wouldn’t listen. So what does this little saucy bitch do?

Kicked it.

That’s right. She kicked the dog because it wasn’t obeying her. My friends thought that this was hysterical, but I’m a little more sensitive to it, because while I’m not a big fan of pitbulls (I’m a bit scared of them; they have a way of intimidating people), I still love animals. That was not necessary at all. There are ways to get a dog to obey you. Ways that do not resort to kicking it. I mean, kids disobey their parents all the time. Does it make it okay to kick them? I think of pets like children. You have to feed them, give them shelter, clean up after them, and give them lots of TLC. When your child disobeys, what do you do? Give them a time-out right? Yeah. Or, you give them a small smack on the bottom or hand. Granted you can’t give a dog a time-out (not that I know of anyway since their brain work differently), but you have to understand–you have to train them to be obedient.

Unfortunately, this is how some people train pets–put them through a form of torture. And this is why so many people hate dogs, namely pitbulls. Because the masters train them to be vicious and when they aren’t obeying–kick, or a punch will knock them into place.

I have a next-door neighbor who has two Rottweilers (another breed that I’m not a big fan of either–the intimidation thing again). One morning, he found one of the dogs eating the garbage. Instead of saying “no”, pulling them away, and nothing more, this fool punches her. PUNCHES her!! If I didn’t live in an area where you have no idea who has a gun, I’d punch the fool myself.

Oh, it gets worse. Just a few weeks ago, I’m getting the mail, and the master and both the Rottweilers are out of their yard. All of the sudden, all I hear is “get that ass! Get his ass!” He’s teaching them to fight. I don’t think he has a clue, nor does he care that one of them could have been seriously injured, or killed. Then what happens? They’d have Animal Control up their ass. It’s really fucked up. The only reason why we haven’t called on them yet is because we don’t really like conflict with the neighbors, so we basically mind our business. I’m sure that someone’s going to call eventually. It might be me next time, disregarding conflict.

People, no breed of dog is naturally vicious. It’s the evil motherfuckers training them that are. Shih tzus can be violent if trained accordingly, right? Goes for any breed. Same with children–expose them to violence, they may very well be violent themselves. Remember that. Be good to your pets.

As I sit here and type this, I am constantly switching my weight so that my hip doesn’t bother me as much. I’m failing…miserably.

I’ll start from the beginning. Today, me and a few of my friends go to Subway for lunch. We’re ready to leave, and we get outside, and me, totally oblivious to the step that’s there, I twist my left ankle (jeebus, again?!), and fall on my face. I’m in complete shock, and the first thing that comes to mind was my ankle. I always say that they’re always swollen, but as of late, they’ve significantly shrunk in size, but it may actually be the weight that I’ve lost these past few months. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too bad of a twist, so it didn’t bother me at all. Besides a scrape on the right arm, I was completely unscathed.

Or at least I thought so.

I’m walking and I notice that my left hip is a little sore. I can walk, but there’s an obvious soreness to it that I can feel, even if it’s faint. As the hours progressed, the pain got worse, and so I made sure that I got home before the big home rush came in, because the buses after about 3-4pm are overly crowded, and at this point, I am limping. Standing on the bus was not an option. I get home and I lay down for a bit to see if the pain would subside a little bit. Nope. In fact, I was taking a nap and I was busy switching positions to be more comfortable. I’m failing miserably.

My friends said that I should have stayed down in front so that they can see that I fell. But I felt fine until I felt the hip. It feels kind of like a pulled muscle though. So hopefully that’s what it is, and nothing too extreme.

In other news, in case you haven’t caught the “weight loss” thing, it’s true. I’m actually losing weight. Thing is, I’m not sure what the hell I’m doing right. It shows mostly in the ankles where it used to be swollen due to them being sprained so many times, and to this day, I can’t believe it. Whatever I’m doing is working, so I’ll stick with it. I’ve shed 6 pounds, which is still slow seeing as it’s been months, but it’s progress, dammit.

Ooh, I have something for you!

WTF Moment: What in the hell?!

So basically this is a fashion faux pas combined with…ick. There’s this girl at the program who cannot spend a little more time on her hair. It looks like she just rolled out of bed and left the house. It’s not one or two times either. It’s every day. It looks like a rat’s nest, no lie. All right, today she wears a red dress and ankle boots. :/ What the hell? Maybe I’m not catching it, but does anyone put on a dress (by the way, the dress is short) and ankle boots? Anyway, during lunch time after we got our lunch and after I busted my ass, me and my friends look and she has no fucking shoes on. She took her boots off, and it turns out that she didn’t even have on a pair of socks or even knee-high stockings. She was walking around, barefooted. On a floor where roaches and rats crawl on. Sick!

Here’s the kicker folks–we’re in group, and she goes to leave, and I catch her at the corner of my eye (well, actually I was looking at the instructor), and she’s digging up her ass as if she’s looking for fucking diamonds. At this point, I am wide-eyed. Who the hell does that in public? If you have a wedgie, you go somewhere where no one will see you, or you do it as discreetly as possible. She was all up in there. Good thing she had on drawers (although I’m questioning if she had on regular drawers or a thong) or I would be scared to look at her fingernails with shit probably encrusted in it.

Now that I have officially disgusted you, I am done with this WTF Moment.

I’m working on a new layout for over here, and I’m also working on Bitty Boards. So far, I’m half done with Bitty, but I haven’t really started coding the layout here. I’m rather behind in coding projects so I should get cracking after I take a shower and eat something (whatever the hell that may be).

Plugwhorage!! Mimi has a new board, and she loves new members, so go ahead and join WTF?! MB. I am kage.no.wagami. on that board. Also, it was almost by accident that I found Ashley again. She had disappeared for awhile, and now she and another person who was also missing in action, Toney has a new message board as well. So do them (and me) a favor and join Suburbs MB. I’m kage.no.wagami. there as well. And still, join Angel’s board, Ecstasy. I’m Nyree.Kage; over there.

I didn’t think I would be able to get all this out of myself today. See what a fucked-up hip can do? And I shall leave you with this joke.

A man kills a deer and brings it home for his wife to cook it. He and his wife decided not to tell the children what they’re eating, just let them guess what it is. So it’s dinnertime and the kids are wondering what are they eating. The wife says, “I’ll give you a hint–I call your father this all the time.” One of the kids, a little girl, tells her brother, “Don’t eat it! It’s a fucking asshole!”
