Story of a technoilliterate nubbiscuit

When I got my first computer in 2001, I was still a complete noob with it. I downloaded anything and everything. Anything that piqued my interest, it was on my computer. Little did I know what baddies were bundled with them. I also had no clue about any antivirus software. Yes, I was noob, so sue me. So when it finally kicked the bucket last year, I wondered why it lasted as long as it did with all the worms I had.

Now with my laptop, I decided that I was gonna take all precautions. Sometimes I would download something without looking, but luckily I have great software that would detect that really quickly. So any worms that want to eat me alive won’t do it that easily.

…Speaking of, I need to scan my computer!

I’ve downloaded my share of rotten infections. I’ve also gotten malware from opening links to bad sites. You have to be super careful.

One of the reasons I love my Mac. No virus’, no problem. :)

I have managed to keep my computer from completely dieing, though it does go really slow at times. Thankfully, as long as I’ve had a computer I have also known an awesome computer guy that puts handy anti-virus programs on it. :)

Hoi Thar.

Crestfallen is the 3-year-old site of a sarcastic 20-something natural-born New Yorker who goes by the name Nat Marie most days, but answers to many other things, including Shadow, Chickenhead, and "Hey Bitch!". She has a love for writing, performing arts, and cats (albeit allergic to them). You will find love, life, and a lot of writing and sarcasm sprinkled in. Enjoy.
