Reflection

She sits alone in her house on the Outer Banks
Reading her book, and crying out loud
It was about a girl and her lost love
Her lost self, that’s what it was about.
She puts herself in this fictional girl’s shoes,
Fell in love, then lost it again.
Now she’s focused on finding it again.
But at the end of the book,
The main character has an epiphamy.
She had to fall in love with herself
Fall in love with herself once again.
So she walked to a lake, looked at her relection.
She saw all of her imperfections…
And smiled.
She found her love after all.
It was her all along.
