Impromptu Shorty: Confused Geek Squad for the Elderly
An elder lady was being watched by her teenage granddaughter. The lady was bitter and hateful, and wouldn’t let anyone else but her watch her. One day, she asked her granddaughter to turn the TV on, and that she did. The lady was waiting for the closed captioning to show up. Once it didn’t show for 5 minutes, she yelled out to her granddaughter.
“Minnie!”
“Yes, grandma?”
“What’s wrong with the TV? The words aren’t showing up!”
“Grandma, the TV doesn’t have words showing up.”
“Yes they do! They’re in white letters with a black background! Fix it!”
“Grandma, I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“When people are talking you see it!”
“Ohhh! Okay, the closed captioning!”
“That’s what it’s called?”
“Yeah! I thought you were talking about something else.”
“Now where is it? It shows up on every channel! Why isn’t it showing up here?”
“Maybe because you’re watching Spanish, and this channel doesn’t have English subtitles?”
“Ah, that’s what it is? I was going to ask about why the sound is like that next…”
