A little bit of nostalgia.
I remember when I was younger I had a gold bangle. My sister used to wear it when she was a baby, and then she passed it down to me when I was like 2 or three. That bangle never came off my hand. It was so beautiful. When I was 6, unfortunately, it got too small for my hand, so my mom had to use pliers to take it off for my hand. Yeah, I grew that much in three years. So this gold bangle stayed my my mom’s room hidden in one of her drawers until my niece was old enough to wear it. My niece is now 8, and she’s wearing it.
Wait! But…wasn’t it cut from my hand? That’s where the art of soldering comes in. She’s really having a field day with it now. Hopefully when she has kids, she’ll keep tradition alive.
