How much budgeting is too much?
We all have our obsessions. My mom has her obsession with QVC, I have an obsession with the number 7. Some people have poker obsessions, some drinking obsessions. But what about someone with a budgeting obsession?
With the cost of living going up and the paychecks just chilling at the middle, it’s essential to budget your money. But how much budgeting is too much? My sister does the budgeting every hour. Mind you, she could be off from work and not spending a dime, but she does it, possibly expecting that the figures are going to change. Maybe they are, but more likely than not, they’re gonna be the same as an hour ago. I don’t know–I find it pretty amusing because she would just take out a piece of paper and a pen in the middle of dinner and start budgeting. Child, you haven’t even finished eating yet!
I think she’d benefit from budget software. But then again, she might use that every hour too.
And she calls me weird.
