Technology is the key to world domination.
I have a 7-year-old desktop computer that, at the time of purchase, would have been perfect in terms of specs. There is a 30GB hard drive, 128MB RAM (on two sticks, mind you–each of them are 64MB), and I forget the processor, but it’s prehistoric at this point. This can easily be put up in a museum as one of the first computers made in the turn of the millennium. Well, technically it is.
It’s interesting to see how technology has changed so much in just 7 years. The hard drives on computers have grown to 10 times the size we were offered 7 years ago, and computer memory doesn’t come in 64MB sticks anymore (or at least I don’t think they do). As the months (not years, since a web year is really 3 months our time) go by, it’s going to grow even more. Instead of 300GB hard drives, we might have 3TB hard drives.
Oh, damn, if that’s the case, can you imagine how large web servers would be?! Some of them already have over a terabyte in space.
Technology is the key to world domination. Or at least that’s what it seems.

I most certainly agree. I had a very old EMachine that only had 20gb of space and one 128mb ram card. Needless to say I threw that piece of crap in the garbage lol. Technology has come a long way but I would hate to see how it’s abused in the future.
