Alcohol ultimately leads to destruction.
A while back, I had a family member get charged with driving under the influence. He had his license taken away and was told to go to AA meetings for a few weeks. Since then, he doesn’t drive if he knows he’s going to drink (which, from what I’ve heard last, he still does–and heavily). I think that one drink or two once in a while is fine, but when it become a regular thing, it causes a lot of trouble in relationships, and in terms of the law. He was told to go into an alcohol rehab, but knowing how stubborn he is, I’m not sure if he’ll try it out. I just hope that he will get more help before it becomes more destructive than what it is now.
