Daylight savings time means shit to an insomniac.
On Sunday, we (as in those who observe it) spring forward. In November somewhere, we fall back again in pure darkness. Now, I’m all for longer days. It helps with my seasonal depression that usually ends around this time. However, other than that, it means shit to me. While everyone’s happy when we fall back, and while everyone’s pissed when we spring forward, I’m indifferent to the situation. It’s only a one-hour difference. In fact, I find the time change so cool when it happens at that moment.
I’m always up at 2am when the change happens either way. The problem is that on the day that daylight savings time begins or ends, there is no such thing as 2am. Seriously. If you have a cable box, look at the time at around 1:59am. Or look at your computer clock if it’s better for you. It will go from 1:59am to 3am or 1:59am to 1am within 60 seconds. It’s cool to me. I look at it, and I say “wicked!” What can I say? I’m easily amused. I mean, if you can’t sleep at night, why not get a head start, then bug your family and say “haha, I watched the time change!”?
Who does this with me?

I’ve never woken at 2am in the morning, but I will this time just to notice the time change!
Personally, I don’t care about daylight savings time, like you said, it’s only one hour.

Ok, you lost me at no such thing as 2am
I don’t think my brain can handle figuring that one out and 11:10am, MLA time, when I haven’t had a single cigarette and my good morning coffee yet.
I’m glad I no longer have to deal with coming into work an hour early during DST, now that I no longer work at a call center. I do operate on Pacific Standard Time 4 days in a week, though. Meh.

We (Europeans) don’t spring forward until the last Sunday of March, so I still have to wait until I can watch my computers clock jump from 1:59am to 3am
Daylight savings time don’t really affect me, either…
