Happy New Year…My. Ass.

January 01st, 2008 at 02:45 am

Seriously, what’s so happy about it? If you’re anything like me (being lonely and wanting a cuddle or a kiss or some kind of affection), then psh. It’s like what-the-fuck-ever.

Aaaanyway. Today is the start of EMB Blogathon. This is my first blogathon, and I will be the first to say that this is possibly the ballsiest thing I’ve done. It might be the last time I do it too. But I have my reasons as to why I decided to try it.

Pro: I’m forced to blog every day for a month. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I always run dry. I can get out two entries a week if I’m lucky. Now I have a chance to actually do it.

Con: I’m actually forced to blog every day for a month. Like I said, I run dry out of blogging ideas quickly. I don’t know how some people blog every day…wait, I know–they have a life! *gasp!* That’s gonna be a challenge for me since I live a very uneventful and bitter life.

Pro: It would help me gain more traffic. Maybe blogging every day will give people something to talk about. Like they’ll see me blog today, tomorrow…the day after next, blahzeblah, and eventually (maybe), they’ll be like “hey! I wonder what this bitter fat bitch is going to say next!”

Con: I might really offend someone. As you can see, I have a very crass way of wording things sometimes, and while I try not to, I might offend someone. I’m not going to be evil and say “suck it up”, but this is an apology in advance. If you become offended by anything that I should say, I’m sorry.

So you see, the cons don’t outweigh the pros, and vice versa. I’m going to have fun with this. And I can only hope that I can remember to actually post something every day. I’m lucky to remember to change my drawers some days.1

But yeah, happy new year, I guess. My goal is to get a kiss by March 17th. In case you’re wondering about the significance of that date, it’s the day I turn 23. Eep.

1All right, so I always remember to change my drawers. But that’s an example to show how bad my memory is.

I haven’t actually heard of this whole bloggathon thing but I was planning on doing something similar to this anyway, now I have the motivation to do it. =)
By the way your layout looks funny on my PC. I have a 1024 by 768 resolution and I’m using Firefox but you have a horizontal scroll bar and I have to scroll my screen to read all of your blog. Printscreen here: http://i11.tinypic.com/6jzhic1.jpg

Ahh no problem =D yeah it’s fluid now but the sidebar is pushed down. I’m really crap at this sort of thing (I have no sidebar =D) so I don’t have a clue why! I hope you figure it out *fingers crossed*

Hoi Thar.

Crestfallen is the 3.5-year-old site of a sarcastic 20-something natural-born New Yorker/California implant who goes by the name Nat Marie most days, but answers to many other things, including Shadow, Chickenhead, and "Hey Bitch!". She has a love for writing, performing arts, and cats (albeit allergic to them). You will find love, life, and a lot of writing and sarcasm sprinkled in. Enjoy.
