Rain, rain, go away…
…Seriously, just go away. Do you know how many pant legs I drenched 2 minutes after leaving my house? Do you know that if my hair wasn’t nappy to begin with, you’d ruin a perfectly good perm? Do you know that I have a party to go to in a few hours? Go. The. Fuck. Away. And Mother Nature, do me a favor and fuck yourself with one of Earth’s poles. North or south? Take your pick.
Thank you for your patience. I should explain as to why I took awhile to actually blog. I would have done it earlier in the week, but I’ve been working feverishly on a new layout that I will officially put up next week. Well, I mean, switch to from the pink theme since it’s already up for use. Last night I stayed up until 4:30 am just to figure out why the hell it was screwing up in IE7. But I did, so it’s all gravy. It looks very reminiscent of the Hemingway theme, I didn’t do all the blocks thing that you can do with the original Hemingway theme. I coded it all by fricken hand–including the functions file, and it was my first time experimenting with conditional tags. It was a pain, and I still didn’t really finish styling it. I’ll do that later on tonight. I’m also going to do a lot of overhauling of the existing themes because for example, Musical Butterflies, is using links of projects that I decided to get rid of, so I’m going to work on that one first. Hopefully when I do all this, I can learn to say “stop” and take a break, because my eyes took on a beautiful shade of red last night. You should have seen them. Hyperfocusing. Such a wonderful thing, isn’t it? It’s the only way to get stuff done in my case.
Now Kylie asked me a question on my last blog and I wasn’t going to answer it, because it’s really sensitive, but I think I will.
But why do you think you don’t have a chance with him??
Here’s the deal. Since the scum of the universe abandoned me, my luck with the male population has not been the best. I have a few insecure attributes about myself, which is something I need to work on, but it’s been really hard. My thought is that even though I’ve been told that I’m fun to be around with, sweet, friendly, all that good stuff, it makes me wonder if I’m physically undesirable. But really why I say that I don’t have a chance with this guy is because of two things. One, I think he’s out of my league, and two, he would never know anyway because I have a nice habit of saying…nothing. That’s what happened with one particular guy (anyone remember Fucking Gorgeous?). Never said anything, now if I ever see him again, it’s nothing short of a miracle. Once again, something to work on, but I’m guy-shy–if I have a crush on a guy, I’m…a completely different person. I can talk to guy friends normally, but with crushes…yeeah.
So that’s my reasoning for the line. Hope that answers your question, Kylie. I could have a very, very long blog explaining as to why I’m guy-shy, but I’ll leave it alone.
Weight loss=doing great.
Job search=not so hot.
Stress level=pretty up there.
But it’s all gravy for now; I don’t feel like cutting nobody!1
1This is actually an inside joke. A friend of mine was so pissed about someone, that she was ready to cut someone (no, she wasn’t going to do it). So she spoke to someone else, and this person was like “If you didn’t go around saying you want to cut somebody…” It’s the emphasis and tone on the word “cut” that gets us all the time.
